Not sure that there is a particular code to access your friends list. But if you "view all my friends" you can right-click on the ones you want to use, save them to your computer, and then upload them to Slide.com. From there you can create a cool slideshow, and they provide the code to put your slideshow on your page. And Slide.com is fully accepted by MySpace and will not "disappear".
If you are trying to replace your friends list with the slideshow, you will need to first hide your friends from view.
The code is what I'm looking for to avoid downloading all the image files and building my own friend slide show from scratch. Plus, many people change their image all the time.

You have to make your own div overlay.
It's called a div btw.
That's the only way you can get your friends %26amp; comments to appear that way. It's a certain code in the div that changes the width %26amp; length.

I have my Myspace profile set to private. However when I do a search for me on Myspace, so old friends can find me using my name, say "John Smith" all John Smith profiles, including mine come up. When you click on my profile then it says it is set to private, as it should be, but there is no header name., like "John" or "John Smith". I've seen this on other profiles when you click on them they are set to private, but their name or what they put down is still listed on top even though it is set to private. That is what I want. My profile only shows the picture, location (city) and then on the bottom says This profile is set to private...."

what your talking about is called your display name. And you can fix it up by editing your profile and then going to name....then like there will be a place for you to put in what you want it to be.

On your home page look where your friends are. In the upper right hand corner of the box it should say [Edit Friends] Click that then when you find his picture, check the box under his picture then hit the "delete selected friends" button. :)
on the homescreen, click on veiw your friends. then click edit friends, click the one you dont want and click delete friends :)

1. Go to "EDIT PROFILE"
2. There is a row of links to modify your profile you know? where it says "NAME" , "BASIC INFO" etc.
all the way at the end it will say "SONG %26amp; VIDEO" click on that
3. Scroll all the way down and you should see something saying this "Profile Video Slider:" and a drop down menu, click on the drop down menu and click on "HIDE"
4. Then Press "SAVE" and there you have it

That actually happened to me before. I just went to the edit profile link and I just deleted everything, and then I saved it with nothing in any of the boxes and when I checked my page again, it was back to normal. I would try that first, if that still doesn't work, contact MySpace and tell them what is happening and they might be able to help you.

I have my Myspace profile set to private. However when I do a search for me on Myspace, so old friends can find me using my name, say "John Smith" all John Smith profiles, including mine come up. When you click on my profile then it says it is set to private, as it should be, but there is no header name., like "John" or "John Smith". I've seen this on other profiles when you click on them they are set to private, but their name or what they put down is still listed on top even though it is set to private. That is what I want. My profile only shows the picture, location (city) and then on the bottom says This profile is set to private...."

i just figured it out.what you do is:
1.go to a site like photobucket.com or something.
2.sign up and add your image.

Okay, so what you do is
1. Go to "EDIT PROFILE"
2. There is a row of links to modify your profile you know? where it says "NAME" , "BASIC INFO" etc.
all the way at the end it will say "SONG %26amp; VIDEO" click on that
3. Scroll all the way down and you should see something saying this "Profile Video Slider:" and a drop down menu, click on the drop down menu and click on "HIDE"
4. Then Press "SAVE" and there you have it

That actually happened to me before. I just went to the edit profile link and I just deleted everything, and then I saved it with nothing in any of the boxes and when I checked my page again, it was back to normal. I would try that first, if that still doesn't work, contact MySpace and tell them what is happening and they might be able to help you.

I've searched the net but haven't found any HTML or CSS code anywhere that will allow me to increase the number of top friends displayed.
I've created and am maintaining and heavily promoting an "Elect Ron Paul 2008" MySpace page (http://myspace.com/electronpaul2008) and I'm currently displaying mostly celebrity friends in the hopes that people will see their favorite singer, comedian etc. supporting Dr. Paul and hopefully become friends themselves. I know it works because I was getting hate mail from one guy I tried to add until I pointed out to him that two of his favorite celebrities were supporters. He's now a supporter.
Anyway, I've got more than 40 celebrities as friends and I'd like to include more non-celebrities in my top friends as well.

There are ways, but they are VERY complicated, and you will likely deem it to be not worth the trouble. To state it as clearly as i can, you must create a "div overlay", which is like a fake mask that goes on top of your friends list, which LOOKS like your friends list, but is customized by you.
What you must do is make this div mask have %26gt;40 friends with html coding, but where the complexity comes in is when you try to position the mask perfectly on top of your friend space in the effect that it looks just like it w/o lookin sloppy, which is something even i cannot master. Believe me, what you are requesting is one of the most difficult things to do on a profile cuz you're not the first one to ask this question and i've tried it!!

Ok, I have a sample photo of what I would like my myspace to look like. I am not sure which link I should post, so I'll post all of them. I have the photo color coded...The Red (1) are pictures, Green (2) is the myspace URL, Orange (3) is music on the profile, and the Blue color (4) is quotes.
I need someone to help me make this possile. I know this is possible, because I have seen it done, I just can't figure out what codes and stuff to use. Basically, everything on the right of the profile is hidden, the contact box is hidden and there is a "add|message|comment" button section at the top of the right side. When I log on to my personal Myspace it begins redirecting infinitely and will never load. I have tried clearing all temp files, my cache, cookies and everything. I have even tried using a different computers. Other accounts I have access to work though. Also, it still appears on other peoples top 8s and my comments do as well so I know it wasn't deleted. you upload it to photobucket or u add it to your photos
After you take the picture with your camera, connect it to your computer and copy the image there. Then go into your MySpace photos and upload it.
Once uploaded, view the photo and there will be a link on that page to Set As Default Image. Click that and the photo will show up in the top left of your profile. It will also be used anywhere you post a comment on other profiles.
To use another picture instead, upload it to your MySpace photos and set it as default.

on the homescreen, click on veiw your friends. then click edit friends, click the one you dont want and click delete friends :)
Click "edit friends" and check his picture %26amp; remove him.
Go to his profile thin click on "BLOCK USER" that will delete him. Also keep him from getting on your profile.

Ok, so I havent mastered everything about myspace yet. i have seen ppl who can get the icons on their page in rows of like 5. i don't want them all on top of each other, one by one. i don't want them sideways either. what i want is like a row of 5, then another row of 5 under them, etc. how can i do this. ive tried like 80 different sites, and none work like i want. help please
well you just put all the icon (their codes) next to each other without any line break (%26lt;br%26gt;, %26lt;p%26gt;) then once you get five in a row put %26lt;br%26gt; then do it all over again.

they're default layouts...
well, all i know is that
you can pick whichever layout you want
and then if you look at your code
that you put in your "about me"
look for width
and adjust the numbers
if it has a width of 350, that's too small, and that may be referring to your embedded images or something else.
if that didn't help, then you'd have to look all over for
those myspace layout profile makers
i know myspace.com/backtalkk is a great layout maker
and whateverlife.com has default layouts too
so try searching in there... mmmkk? :)
Those are called "Default Layouts". You could find them by searching them on google. Some sites that have them are....www.whateverlife.com and www.hot-lyts.com. Also, you could add people on myspace that make layouts. Like Unwritten Layouts and Ipps Layouts. Go search for them and add them. There's also another good one called backtalkk. okay this is what i want, i want a black and white striped background, i would like the texts to be in black boxes (like most layouts are), and i would like to put a picture on the top rightside of the layout (straight across from my display picture).
here is my question, im new, so..., i haven't been able to find a generator that will let me do this.....can anyone help me with this? how do i place the picture in that spot?

so like i heard that on a psp or sidekick and there is a website that unhids all the codes??
like ur top friends and ur comments etc..
like on the sidekick it unhids comments if they are hidden but on this one persons myspace i went on it from my sidekick an its stays hidden...
but yes i heard also on the psp it unhids EVERYTHING not just the comments an there is some website that is around..
i was wondering if there is anyway so that theses codes can stay hidden if u go on thoses types of things?

My Myspace friends list is not working properly. It says i have 50 friends, which i do. If i click edit my friends, all 50 show up. If i click change my top friends i can choose from all 50. But when i click view Bills friends only 42 show up.
It was doing this to me a few days ago when i had 47 friends and went to 42 again. The it fixed itself and had been working, but when i added friends today it stopped working properly again.
I have tried to message tom but he is always unavailable. I emailed support and they have not responded
It's obviously a MySpace gliche going on if you've experienced it in the past and it was magically fixed. Those types of issues are quite common with MySpace.
Contacting Tom won't get you anywhere...and chances are that contacting support won't get you anywhere, either. They're so back-logged with issues that by the time they get to your question, the issue will probably already be solved. I'd just hang in there and be patient until they take care of it.
myspace is always messed up, it's not something really important. eventually all problems fix themselves, the system updates itself based on the error messages sent back to it. Tom has little to do with the majority of the maitenence on that site.
try to ignore, at least it's not something worse.
Welcome to MySpace, there are many on and off glitches. I have 25 friends on mine according to the counter, but only 24 on the page. Somedays my page doesn't always load. Somedays it says I have messages/new friends/ect.....yet there are none. MySpace is growing faster than the techs can keep up. Tom never answers email, and tech support usually takes a day or 2 to even reply.
ok well i have been comment my gf on myspace ever since i have know her. we have been going out 2 years to the day. but lately she added that thing where she has to accept comments for them to be show. She has gotten rid of her top 8 and all pics of me she does not even have 1 word of me on there. but i have no problem with all that the only probably i have is that everytime i comment her it never gets accepted. But then ill go on her page and see that everyone elses comment is being accept everyones but mine. Does any1 know we she is doing this. She doesn't want her friends or other guys to know she is with you, she's probably flirting with other guys online.. My ex did the exact same thing a couple of months before we broke up after being together for 2 years. I bet she changed her password too. Can you remember the days when she gave you her password so you could freely look at her emails and see they were innocent? Now she tells you that its none of your business and its personal.

My friend has one; and she says she made it herself. Her profile is centered down the middle of the page, theres a message, add, and comment button at the top, her song is hidden, and theres a specific place for her to write her about me.

1) you can take out the code thats in the layout to still show your top friends..if you'll look in your code you'll see a lot of stuff that says "table"...copy your whole code before you start and save it somewhere so you can come back and add it if it messes up somehow..then take out all of the table stuff you can and preview your layout to see if your friends show up..most of the skinny ones dont have that because after you put the friends back up there its not really skinny anymore..but i always put my top friends back on there.
2) again, its the "skinny" layout, so its going to be small..but if you modify the friends it will make your comments section and about me bigger.
3) those are pre made layouts, all you have to do is go to myflash.com and pick the layout..before you can put it on your page you have to add thier myspace to yours, but then you just paste the code into your info thing..its pretty easy.
4) I'm not sure what you mean by this? just any pic you find off the net? you can go to any image hosting site, sign up for it, then upload pics that you have saved on your pc there...I use photobucket.com..
5) again, its probably because of the skinny layout..you might check on the code on the icon and see if at the end the site that your getting these from put %26lt;br%26gt; at the end..if it does take it out..otherwise its just because of the skinny layout itself.
