Someone hacked into my deceased brothers account....how do I really contact myspace?

My brother passed away 1/1/08 and someone has hacked into his account and changed a ton of stuff. On top of that they have sent out REALLY mean and inappropriate messages under his myspace. I have sent a ton of messages even including a link to his obituary and I have received NO response from myspace. I am desperate. PLEASE HELP!!!!!! It needs to be deleted or changed before they do anything else to disrespect my brother!

Try to send a message to Tom. I am sure that he gets a ton of messages a day. Do you have the password? If so, go and delete all of the information on the profile.

There is definatly a way to do this through the FAQ section on myspace, although you'll have to do some looking as I dont know were it is. One time my friends and i made a bogus profile for a teacher we didnt like, and she was able to get it deleted immediatly.

really sorry to hear about your brother :o( is there anyway you know his password? or could find it out? if you can get into his email you can get his password. if not then keep writtting tom, it probably takes him a long time to get to the messages. best i can tell you for now is to block your brother from your friends list just so you dont have to look at all that mean stuff everyday until the issue is resolved. best of luck to you

if you kno his email have the password sent to you and u can change both passwords and or deleted them both. cause myspace takes forever to take action.

the only thing you can do is try to crack his password and change it yourself. my brother passed away and all we could do was get his stuff so it had to be approved before added (comments) because we didnt want crap on there. Good luck and sorry for your loss.

did you send myspace a message under the report a violation link or whatever it is? i have had to do this and they responded but it took a couple of days. you might also try logging into the account continuously with the wrong password to lock it up so they cant get into it either. sorry for your loss.

anyways, delete the account;

go to home

edit profile

account settings (upper right corner)

cancel account

then follow their steps

and be sure to confirm the email delete thing.

you can go to the FAQ

(toms profile and theres a link somewhere else i think)

and click the thing that says 'my answer isn't here'

and type an email to myspace with details...thats always what they want.

you can change the password too

home

edit profile

account settings

privacy settings

enter password

and then enter password to change

you can change the email as well

if you want to.
